Chilean Generation Z prioritizes career growth and stability

A new analysis titled ‘Jóvenes en Chile y su inserción en el mercado laboral,’ conducted by Eurofirms Group, reveals that Generation Z in Chile prioritizes professional growth and stability over flexibility. According to the report, which utilizes data from the National Institute of Youth (INJUV) and the 2024 Census, 86% of young workers value opportunities for professional development, while 85% prioritize a good work environment and job stability.

Contrary to common perceptions of this demographic seeking highly adaptable conditions, 74% of respondents prefer in-person work, 73% favor fixed schedules, and 66% seek stable remuneration. Additionally, 75% expect employers to manage their social security. While 69.3% of young people express a desire for further training, significant barriers remain, specifically regarding the time required (59.3%) and the associated costs (50%).
