Chilean Government faces 44 regional ministerial resignations
The administration of President José Antonio Kast has seen the resignation of Rodrigo Aguilera Silva as the Regional Ministerial Secretary (Seremi) of Economy, Development, and Tourism in the Aysén Region. His departure, effective November 1, is attributed to personal reasons.
This follows the resignation of Ronald Ruf, the Seremi of Finance in the Biobío Region, who also cited personal reasons for leaving his post to pursue previously planned activities.
These departures bring the total number of regional ministerial resignations to 44 during the first seven months of the current administration. In the Aysén region specifically, these exits follow the previous departures of Ángela Valdebenito from the Ministry of Cultures and Verónica Figueroa Foitzick from the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications.
