Chilean Minister inaugurates new adoption and foster care facilities

Minister of Social Development and Family, María Jesús Wulf, has inaugurated new facilities for the Formative Evaluation Unit for Adoption and Family Foster Care (UEFAA) in Talca, Maule region.

Part of the government’s ‘Plan Crecer en Familia’ (Grow in a Family Plan), the initiative aims to strengthen the evaluation, guidance, and support provided to families. The goal is to facilitate adoption and foster care processes, ensuring children and adolescents have the opportunity to grow in safe, protective, and affectionate family environments.

The ceremony included regional authorities, professionals from the National Service for Specialized Protection of Children and Adolescents, and participating families. The new spaces are designed to better prepare and accompany individuals seeking to enter the foster care or adoption systems.
