Chilean Ministry of Women partners with Buk to monitor female labor trends
The Chilean Ministry of Women and Gender Equality has signed a collaboration agreement with Buk to monitor the labor situation of women in the country. Through this partnership, Buk will share data from its Labor Market Radar, a tool that tracks employment and remuneration trends.
The Labor Market Radar analyzes monthly anonymized administrative information from over 860,000 workers, representing approximately 18% of Chile's formal private employment. This data will serve as a complementary resource for the Ministry to conduct analyses and publish findings regarding gender equity.
Minister Judith Marín noted that the data is crucial for gaining an updated view of the workforce, particularly as the female unemployment rate has reached 10.3%. Catalina Le Blanc, Buk Chile's country manager, stated that updated information is essential for understanding persistent labor gaps and developing evidence-based solutions.
