Chilean municipalities announce new health infrastructure projects

In the Los Ríos region, the Health Seremi, Dr. Felipe Bastidas, and Lago Ranco Mayor Miguel Meza signed an agreement to allocate approximately $40 million CLP for the implementation of a Health Promotion Center. The project aims to improve infrastructure at Concepción Street No. 655, creating a 50-square-meter space dedicated to community wellness, prevention, and healthy lifestyle activities.

In Chonchi, municipal authorities have begun planning for a new rural health post in Terao. The project, coordinated by the Municipal Planning Secretariat (SECPLAN), involves the construction of a standardized “Posta Tipo” model. This facility is intended to replace the current aging establishment and will include clinical boxes, a waiting room, procedure areas, and staff housing. Officials are currently evaluating two potential land alternatives for the construction.
