Chilean municipalities grant over $250 million to local organizations

The municipality of Quilpué increased its Neighborhood Development Fund by 20%, distributing roughly 240 million Chilean pesos to 111 community groups for projects in security, infrastructure, equipment and recreation. Mayor Carolina Corti said, “Estamos muy contentos porque hoy entregamos recursos a 111 organizaciones sociales de Quilpué…”.

In Punta Arenas, the city council allocated 14,027,773 pesos to 16 associations, including senior clubs, sports and cultural groups. Mayor Claudio Radonich noted, “En esta oportunidad estamos beneficiando a 16 agrupaciones con más de $14 millones…”. The funds will support activities such as workshops, equipment purchases, and travel for sporting events.
