Chilean Music Day 2026: Free concerts announced for Santiago, Valparaíso, and Coquimbo

Día de la Música Chilena SCD free concerts Chilean music Violeta Parra

Free concerts will be held in Santiago, Valparaíso, and Coquimbo to celebrate Chilean Music Day on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The date marks the 109th anniversary of the birth of Violeta Parra.

In Santiago, Los Patapelá will perform at Sala SCD Bellavista at 17:00, followed by Papanegro at Sala SCD Egaña at 18:00. In Valparaíso, De Kiruza is scheduled to perform at Teatro Mauri SCD starting at 18:00. While the events are free, attendance requires a ticket, which can be downloaded via PortalTickets. Capacity is limited, and ticket limits vary by show.

In Coquimbo, the celebration includes performances by Ana Tijoux, Alanys Lagos, Sol y Lluvia, Claudio Narea, Christell, and Niños del Cerro.
