Chilean organizations launch community development funds

Various organizations in Chile have launched community funding initiatives to support local development.

Aguas del Valle has announced the tenth edition of its “Contigo en Cada Gota” fund, allocating $50 million to finance projects focused on drinking water care. Non-profit organizations in the Coquimbo Region can apply for up to $2.5 million per initiative through October 4. Project categories include sustainable development, community infrastructure, water management innovation, and academic research. The company has provided training sessions to assist social leaders with the application process.

Separately, Kinross Chile has opened a second call for its “Paipote Activo 2026” participatory fund, with a total budget of $23 million. This initiative targets projects related to territory, culture, and inclusion in the Paipote area. Funding is divided into two lines: one for artistic-cultural training and inclusion (up to $10 million) and another for community culture and territorial identity (up to $13 million). Eligible applicants include social organizations and foundations with at least two years of experience and a verified link to the Paipote sector.
