Cerro Navia shooting injures five-year-old girl with stray bullet
A five-year-old girl was injured by a stray bullet in the Cerro Navia district of Chile while playing with her family. The projectile struck her left leg and became lodged in her femur. The incident occurred when unidentified individuals opened fire from a vehicle, discharging at least ten shots in the area.
The child was rushed to Hospital Félix Bulnes, where she is reported to be in stable condition. She is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove the bullet. Authorities, including the Organized Crime and Homicide Team (ECOH) and the PDI, are investigating the attack, which witnesses suggest may have been directed at a different vehicle in the vicinity.
