Chilean President Kast outlines bilateral agenda with Brazil's Lula da Silva

Chilean President José Antonio Kast has formally congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva following his reelection to a fourth presidential term in Brazil. Following the runoff election against Flávio Bolsonaro, the two leaders held a telephone conversation to discuss a pragmatic work plan for the 2026-2030 period.

The strategic roadmap between Santiago and Brasilia will prioritize regional economic integration and the promotion of commercial exchange. Additionally, both leaders agreed to intensify binational cooperation to combat transnational organized crime, aiming to strengthen security and stability across the Cono Sur.
