Chilean Primera B clubs complete winter signings, including Iquique’s new striker Thomas Jones

Chile’s second‑division clubs have been active in the 2026 winter transfer window. Rangers added three players, Cobreloa secured two reinforcements, and Deportes Puerto Montt brought in two newcomers. Other teams such as San Marcos de Arica, Deportes Antofagasta, Santiago Wanderers, Unión Española, Magallanes, Deportes Santa Cruz and Deportes Temuco have yet to announce any signings. Curicó Uno could not register new players due to a Fair‑Play Financial breach, and several clubs listed players leaving or on loan.

In a notable individual move, Deportes Iquique announced the return of striker Thomas Jones. Jones, who scored 14 goals in the 2025 Ascenso and was nominated best player, left Chile for Kazakh club Kaysar Kyzylorda before ending his overseas spell to re‑join Iquique as the first reinforcement for the second half of the season. The club hopes his attacking quality will help the team improve from its 14th‑place position in the current table.
