Dominican Republic President delivers housing and property titles
Dominican President Luis Abinader has led a series of initiatives to improve housing access and legal security for families in Santo Domingo. In El Almirante II, the first phase of a land regularization project saw the delivery of 1,500 property titles to families, a process expected to eventually reach 6,500 certificates. This initiative, involving the UTECT, represents an estimated savings of RD$120 million for the beneficiaries.
Additionally, the second stage of the Laderas del Este residential project was inaugurated in San Antonio de Guerra. This phase includes the delivery of 224 new apartments, benefiting over 800 people. The project involves a total investment of approximately RD$568 million, split between public funds through FONVIVIENDA and private sector investment. Banreservas played a significant role in the housing initiative, providing financing for 197 of the newly delivered units.
