Chilean regional initiatives promote inclusion and accessibility

In Chile, various regional initiatives are focusing on strengthening inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. In the Maule region, Fundación Integra is working to develop inclusive early childhood education. Constanza López, the foundation's Inclusion Coordinator, emphasizes that inclusion goes beyond medical diagnoses, aiming to recognize the singularity of every child through universal access materials and strategies that address gender, interculturality, and neurodiversity, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Meanwhile, in Dalcahue, the Inclusion and Accessibility Table held its fifth meeting to coordinate actions aimed at reducing barriers and promoting rights. The municipality, in collaboration with educational networks, neurodivergent groups, and local health services, agreed to launch a communication campaign. This campaign will use radio and audiovisual capsules to educate the community on obtaining disability credentials and the proper use of exclusive parking spaces.
