Chilean tennis announces Santiago M15 tournaments and player updates

The Chilean Tennis Federation has officially confirmed that Santiago will host two M15 category tournaments this December. As part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) professional circuit, these events will provide crucial world ranking points and an international platform for young local players to compete against foreign talent without the high costs of traveling abroad.

In professional circuit news, Chilean player Tomás Barrios was eliminated in the second round of the Challenger 75 in Guayaquil. After a first-round victory against Argentina’s Juan Estevez, Barrios lost to Uruguay’s Joaquín Aguirre with a score of 1-6, 3-6. Barrios is scheduled to compete in Lima in two weeks.
