Chilean water and food industry leaders discuss sustainability and financing

Chilean organizations are focusing on sustainability and resource management through new financing tools and international cooperation. Chilealimentos, in collaboration with the Agency for Sustainability and Climate Change, Corfo, and several banks including Banco Itaú, BancoEstado, and Bci, held a workshop to present financing options for the food industry. These tools target innovation, energy efficiency, and circular economy projects, utilizing green and blue credits and ESG-linked mechanisms.

In the realm of water management, Corfo’s Transforma Gestión Hídrica Valparaíso program is participating in the international meeting “Closing the Water Access Gap” in Mendoza, Argentina. The program is sharing its experience working with water user organizations in the Valparaíso Region to address climate change adaptation and efficient resource use. The meeting includes representatives from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Canada to exchange strategies for sustainable water management.
