Chilean writers call for solidarity with Cuba

Chilean writers have expressed a call for solidarity with the Cuban people, emphasizing that intellectuals should not remain indifferent to the country's suffering or its historical transformations. The appeal highlights the importance of maintaining belief in the transformative power of poetry and words during times of difficulty.

The statement draws parallels to historical figures such as Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda, advocating for a revolutionary spirit characterized by sincerity, solidarity, and unity. It further criticizes attempts to isolate Cuba, characterizing the rupture of relations as a provocation aimed at isolating the island from the rest of the Americas.
