Chile's creative economy sees export growth and gaming expansion

Chile's creative economy has reached significant milestones following a decade of the Chilecreativo program, managed by Corfo. The initiative has helped increase the sector's contribution to the national GDP from 1.6% to 2.2%. During this ten-year period, the number of companies in the sector grew from 34,754 to 55,837, while creative service exports doubled from US$ 45 million to US$ 98 million.

Building on this momentum, nine Chilean video game studios are participating in Gamescom 2026 in Germany. Supported by an official pavilion organized by ProChile, the delegation includes studios such as TimeHunters, AONE Games, and PlayMe Studios, alongside several others. The mission aims to secure distribution agreements, find investment through B2B meetings, and strengthen the international presence of the Chilean gaming ecosystem.
