Chile's El Pampinito Kindergarten Gains Official Operating Certification

The El Pampinito kindergarten located within the Fuerte Baquedano military base in Pozo Almonte, Chile, received an Authorization of Operation from the Subsecretariat of Early Childhood Education of the Ministry of Education. The ceremony was attended by Leonardo Gálvez, regional Minister of Education, director Carla Pastén, and senior army officials, who highlighted the government’s “Chile Aprende y Avanza” strategy aimed at improving reading and mathematics learning for young children.

The certification confirms that the center meets minimum standards in technical‑pedagogical, legal, and infrastructure areas, enabling it to continue providing state‑supported early‑education services to the local community and reinforcing the ties between the armed forces and public education.
