Chile's fire services mark anniversaries in Pelluhue and Temuco

In Pelluhue, the Second Company of the local fire corps commemorated its 35th year of service with a ceremony attended by provincial and municipal officials. The event honored founder Carlos Morales by renaming the company's Hall of Honor after him and presented recognitions to volunteers for long‑term service.

Meanwhile, in Temuco the national Firefighter Day was marked with a series of activities, including an awards ceremony, a parade in Plaza Aníbal Pinto, and a public account presentation by Superintendent Alfredo Lassalle. Volunteers received medals for up to 65 years of service, and the force highlighted its 930‑person roster, 34 emergency vehicles, and plans to acquire new European fire trucks in 2027. A community CPR campaign was also noted, having trained over 1,800 people and recorded 20 successful resuscitations. The municipality pledged 360 million CLP for essential expenses in 2026.
