Chile's Los Lagos Region Invests Over 1 Billion Pesos in Machinery to Accelerate Road Paving

The regional government of Los Lagos (GORE) announced an investment of more than one billion Chilean pesos in a pool of machinery dedicated to paving roads in the Chiloé province. The plan aims to complete 180 km of paved roads within the next ten years, improving safety, connectivity and quality of life for local families. Regional governor Alejandro Santana highlighted the project's historic significance for development, while Chonchi mayor Fernando Oyarzún Macías praised the equipment as essential for closing infrastructure gaps. Regional councilor Freddy Gallardo added that the machinery will enable targeted paving of critical road sections across the province, maximizing social return on investment.
