Chile's Primera B clubs bolster squads with new signings and departures

Deportes Iquique announced the acquisition of 30‑year‑old Paraguayan centre‑back Mario López, who last played for Sportivo San Lorenzo after five seasons with Santiago Wanderers and experience in the 2018 Copa Libertadores. The club greeted him on social media with “¡Bienvenido al Dragón, Mario López!” as it seeks to improve its standing in the second half of the Primera B season.

Meanwhile, Everton confirmed that midfielder Felipe Villagrán will leave the team to join a club in the north of the country. A post on X read “CONFIRMADO: Felipe Villagrán se va de Everton,” noting his limited minutes this semester and the club’s ongoing efforts to reshape the roster for the latter stage of the campaign.
