Chile's regional food festivals draw chefs and international attention
PFalimentos will host 25 national and international chefs at its Talca plant ahead of the XVI Fiesta Costumbrista del Chancho, allowing them to tour the pork‑processing facilities and learn about the company's century‑long production standards. The festival, held in Talca, is the winter gastronomic capital of the Maule region and expects thousands of visitors, featuring over 25 restaurants, vineyards, breweries, food trucks and more than 40 tonnes of pork.
The Chillán Longaniza Festival, celebrating the city’s Denomination of Origin sausage, was highlighted by the global platform TasteAtlas in its August 2026 selection of notable food festivals. The festival runs from 21 to 23 August in Chillán’s Plaza de Armas, with 281 exhibitors—77 % local entrepreneurs—showcasing longaniza, choripán and beer, further promoting the region’s culinary identity abroad.
