Chile's Sernatur launches Turismo Connect to boost tourism data

The Servicio Nacional de Turismo (Sernatur) has inaugurated a new edition of Turismo Connect, a series of market‑intelligence sessions aimed at strengthening the Chilean tourism industry's commercial capabilities. The program will provide up‑to‑date figures, travel‑trend analysis, competitive positioning and insights derived from Google searches and artificial‑intelligence tools, with each session lasting about 90 minutes and featuring an international expert.

The first session focused on Brazil, Chile's leading source of inbound tourists, and was attended by more than 120 virtual participants representing hotels, tour operators, adventure and wine tourism providers, and industry associations. Sernatur's director, Cristóbal Benítez, emphasized that accurate information is essential for competitiveness and for designing effective commercial strategies to maintain Chile's success in international markets.
