Chilgok-gun and Dongjak-gu receive national job policy awards

Chilgok-gun and Dongjak-gu have both received Excellence Awards at the ‘2026 National Local Government Job Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The awards recognize local governments for their contributions to job creation and employment revitalization.

Chilgok-gun was honored in the regional job target disclosure category. The county has focused on linking industrial, youth, care, and settlement policies to address manufacturing-centered structures and rural aging. Key achievements include creating 594 private-sector jobs through corporate investment and fostering future industries such as advanced agricultural machinery and agtech.

Dongjak-gu also received an Excellence Award in the disclosure category. The district has implemented diverse policies tailored to different demographics, including customized jobs for seniors, support for youth settlement, and startup assistance for small businesses. The district is expanding job-linked training programs in fields such as childcare, pharmacy administration, and financial administration, and plans to host a job fair on October 16.
