Chilgok-gun market delegation secures export deals in Malaysia

A market development delegation from Chilgok-gun, South Korea, has achieved significant results during a recent mission to Malaysia. Ten local small and medium-sized enterprises participated in the program, conducting 80 export consultations and signing 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) valued at $5.11 million.

Among the participants, SD Nexphere, a manufacturer of oil field equipment, signed export contracts worth $175,000 with three Malaysian companies. As an approved supplier for ExxonMobil, the company expects these deals to lead to at least $3 million in exports over the next three years.

Other participating companies included Daeyang Industry, Hybio, Samchorong, CN Innovation, Booyoung Industry, Daegu Precision, SMCT, Hyunjin Chemical, and Nongbu Plus. The mission highlights the effectiveness of local government support in helping regional businesses expand into Southeast Asian markets and establish long-term international networks.
