Chilliwack hosts community events and RCMP open house

The Chilliwack RCMP will host a community open house on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The free, family-friendly event at the detachment on Airport Road offers tours of the cell block, access to police vehicles and equipment, and opportunities to meet local members and first responder partners. The program includes a performance by the RCMP Pipes and Drums, face painting, and a community barbecue, with donations accepted for Cops for Cancer.

Other upcoming community events in Chilliwack include a Lions Main Street Market on September 5, a book signing for author Keith Daniel St. Jean on the same day, and a performance by the Vancouver Cello Quartet at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on September 9. Additionally, the Fraser Valley Square and Round Dance Federation will host free beginner lessons at Atchelitz Hall on September 11 and 18.
