Chillán hosts Fiesta de la Longaniza and Reforest Running

The Fiesta de la Longaniza in Chillán is set to take place from Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23. The event features a diverse program including Chilean music, Argentine rock, cumbia, comedy, and live culinary demonstrations by various chefs.

In addition to the cultural and gastronomic festivities, the event will host the inaugural ‘Reforest Running’ race on Sunday, August 23. Organized by a non-profit group, the initiative aims to plant one tree for every registered participant to help reforest areas affected by wildfires and desertification. The race includes categories of 2.5, 5, and 10 kilometers, starting from the Plaza de Armas area.
