Chillán to host musical nostalgia event honoring local artists

The Municipality of Chillán, through its Directorate of Culture, Arts, and Heritage and the Municipal Theater, will host the “Recuerdos de una generación” (Memories of a Generation) event on Friday, October 16. Held at the Claudio Arrau Hall with free admission, the gathering aims to honor musicians who developed their careers between the 1960s and the early 1990s.

The event celebrates the musical history of Chillán, a period when romantic music gained prominence and local groups achieved international recognition, such as Los Ángeles Negros. Among the honorees is Leo Palma, vocalist and keyboardist of Los Cristales, who recorded for the EMI Odeón label during the 1970s.
