Chiloé Health Service conducts CPR and AED training

The Chiloé Health Service conducted a 20-hour training program focused on Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). The course was designed for various staff members within the institution to improve emergency response capabilities.

Led by Sebastián Schmölz, head of SAMU Chiloé, the training emphasized that early intervention is critical to increasing survival rates during cardiac arrest. The curriculum covered the adult and pediatric survival chains, recognizing cardiac arrest, activating emergency systems, and managing airway obstructions. Participants engaged in both theoretical lessons and practical simulations to prepare for real-world medical emergencies.
