Chilquinta Energía performs massive electrical grid maintenance in Nogales

Chilquinta Energía has launched a massive preventive maintenance operation in Nogales to prepare the electrical grid for the summer season. The intervention aims to reduce the risk of power outages by focusing on critical sectors, specifically Collao and Los Caleos.

The works involve replacing crucetas (support structures for electrical lines) and managing vegetation near installations to prevent interference. Approximately 50 workers, including specialized crews and vegetation management experts, are participating in the operation. These efforts were coordinated with the Municipality of Nogales and conducted alongside maintenance at the El Melón substation.
