Chimalhuacán inaugurates new Region 5 Operations Base

In Chimalhuacán, Mayor Xóchitl Flores Jiménez inaugurated the new Region 5 Operations Base in the Luis Córdoba Reyes neighborhood. This facility is the third of its kind in the municipality and is designed to provide faster emergency responses through modern technological tools.

The new base will cover three sectors and 20 neighborhoods, operating in both shifts with equipped personnel. Local security officials reported a decrease in homicides and vehicle thefts during 2026, attributing these trends to increased investment in surveillance cameras and video monitoring posts.
