Mexico municipal updates: Acapulco budget increase and regional developments

Various municipal developments are reported across Mexico. In Acapulco, the Cabildo unanimously approved modifications to the 2026 Revenue Budget, representing an increase of 738 million 216 thousand 200.30 pesos, or 15.03 percent over the original amount. This adjustment includes changes to expenditure budgets, salary scales, and annual operating programs under the administration of Leticia Lozano Zavala.

In Chimalhuacán, a new community center named ‘México Imparable’ will be constructed at the Deportivo Don Bosco with a 10 million peso investment to support local youth. Meanwhile, in Hidalgo, the Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) announced a 10 million peso fund for the 2026 Municipal Market Infrastructure Strengthening Program, benefiting Actopan, Agua Blanca, Huichapan, Mixquiahuala, San Bartolo Tutotepec, and Singuilucan.

Other regional news includes the 60th anniversary of the SUTEyM union in Tlalnepantla de Baz, a government response session in Molango regarding welfare and peace, and denunciations by the PRI regarding water shortages and insecurity in Ecatepec.
