China accuses US of technological intimidation in Latin America

In Argentina, the dispute intensified after U.S. Ambassador Peter Lamelas raised concerns about Chinese technological infrastructure in the Vaca Muerta region, suggesting it could pose security risks and deter foreign investment. China rejected these claims as “baseless slander,” defending the cybersecurity track record of its firms.
