China advances humanoid robot ID cards and industry partnership for new‑energy manufacturing
The Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in China has begun issuing identity cards (KTP) to humanoid robots. Each 29‑character ID records the manufacturer, hardware parameters, intelligence level and real‑time maintenance logs, enabling traceability, safety checks and rapid fault diagnosis. Chief Operating Officer Liu Chuanhou said the system "allows us to inspect operational logs and maintenance records through the identity to locate malfunctions quickly and ensure efficient maintenance."
Separately, at the CIBF 2026 exhibition in Shenzhen, Lead Intelligent signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. The partnership will accelerate the deployment of humanoid robots from labs to real‑world new‑energy production lines, focusing on human‑robot collaboration, digital intelligence infrastructure, and the development of industry standards. The goal is to replace repetitive, high‑risk tasks in advanced manufacturing with flexible, human‑like robots, reshaping China’s new‑energy industry.
