China advances modernization through step-by-step development

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is advancing Chinese modernization through a process described as “step-by-step progression,” a development pattern rooted in historical materialism. This approach emphasizes aligning subjective social consciousness with objective social existence to navigate various risks and challenges while pursuing long-term national goals.

As a “mission-oriented party,” the CPC focuses on strategic planning to achieve milestones such as poverty alleviation, the development of a world-class high-speed rail network, and the growth of the new energy vehicle industry. The party also functions as a “learning-oriented party,” utilizing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guiding framework to ensure theoretical development keeps pace with practical social changes.

By integrating long-term strategic goals with flexible tactical implementation, the CPC aims to transition from the initial stages of socialist modernization toward a more advanced stage, ultimately working toward the goal of national rejuvenation.
