China advances preparations for manned lunar landing by 2030

China is advancing preparations for a manned lunar landing mission targeted for completion by 2030. Key developments include the progress of the ‘Wangyu’ lunar space suit, which is being designed to be lightweight, compact, and highly efficient to withstand the extreme environments of the Moon's surface.

In addition to hardware, the China Astronaut Research and Training Center has completed the ‘Di Xing No. 3’ bed rest experiment. Conducted between May and July, the study involved volunteers remaining in horizontal positions for 15 to 30 days to simulate the physiological effects of microgravity. The results indicate that the protocols effectively protect the human bone, muscular, and cardiovascular systems, providing essential technical support for long-duration space stays and upcoming lunar missions.
