China and ASEAN expand AI cooperation through language models and token hubs

At the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, discussions centered on deepening artificial intelligence cooperation between China and ASEAN nations. Thanousone PhonAmat, Vice Chairman of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that Laos is collaborating with China to develop AI large language models. This partnership utilizes the China-Laos AI Application Cooperation Center to create the first non-general language national model in ASEAN, enabling AI to process the Lao language to protect national culture, history, and sovereignty.

Laos is exploring “AI+” applications in healthcare, such as mobile-based medical assessments for remote areas, and agriculture to address labor shortages.

In conjunction with the expo, Runjian Co., Ltd. announced a strategy to establish a “Token outbound hub” in Wuxiang Valley to connect China's intelligent supply capabilities with ASEAN market demands. The initiative aims to build a cross-border computing service hub, focusing on the “Token economy” and providing secure, scalable AI services, including the launch of the “TokenHub” platform to streamline model and computing resource access for enterprises.
