China and Belarus conclude ‘Eagle-2026’ joint airborne drills
China and Belarus have concluded the ‘Eagle-2026’ joint airborne training exercises. The drills, which took place at a Chinese Air Force training center, ran from August 12 to August 24.
Conducted in three stages—basic intensive training, collaborative training, and comprehensive exercises—the drills utilized a mixed formation model. The exercises focused on joint urban counter-terrorism operations, including reconnaissance, counter-reconnaissance, seizure and control, defense, clearing, and holding territory.
This marks the fourth iteration of the ‘Eagle’ series of joint exercises. In addition to tactical drills, the two nations engaged in thematic seminars, sports competitions, and cultural exchanges to enhance military cooperation and mutual understanding.
