China and Italy explore tech cooperation at Chengdu matchmaking event
More than 40 government institutions, research bodies, and companies from China and Italy met at the Chengdu-Italy matchmaking event to explore innovation-focused cooperation. The event focused on scientific and technological results to foster new partnership opportunities.
During the gathering, the Italian association Netval introduced the Knowledge Share Platform, a matchmaking tool designed to connect supply and demand within the innovation sector. The platform allows investors and entrepreneurs to access data regarding business projects, patented technologies, and research expertise.
Several cooperation agreements were signed between companies from Chengdu and their Italian counterparts. Notably, Chengdu Skysoft Information Technology Co., Ltd. signed an agreement regarding an AI-powered robot designed for engineering projects and emergency rescue operations. Under this deal, the Chinese firm will handle research and development, while the Italian partner will manage commercial expansion.
