China and Russia's secret CBRN training program disclosed

Classified Russian documents and European intelligence indicate that China covertly trained Russian military personnel in radiological, biological and chemical defence at People's Liberation Army facilities in Beijing during a three‑week course in November 2025. The programme, authorized by Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov and involving at least four senior Russian and Chinese generals, educated roughly 200 Russian troops, some of whom were later deployed to the war in Ukraine.

The European Union has confirmed the training through its own channels and is debating further sanctions, adding to existing measures against Chinese companies accused of supporting Russia's war effort. Both Beijing and Moscow have denied the allegations, with China calling them “entirely unfounded” and Russia describing them as western misinformation. The revelations have heightened concerns in Europe over expanding China‑Russia military cooperation.
