Tianjin hosts 2026 China Culture and Tourism Industries Expo
The 2026 China Culture and Tourism Industries Expo has opened in Tianjin, featuring over 2,500 enterprises from 20 countries and regions. Organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the four-day event focuses on the theme of deepening the integration of culture and tourism to create a better smart life.
The expo spans 100,000 square meters and includes ten specialized exhibition zones covering digital business, tourism equipment, international cooperation, and local attractions. It also hosts 18 professional events centered on industrial innovation and regional cooperation.
This event coincides with reported growth in China's domestic tourism market. During the first half of 2026, residents made over 3.46 billion domestic trips, a 5.4 percent year-on-year increase. Tourism spending rose by 2 percent, reaching approximately 3.21 trillion yuan (about 473.4 billion U.S. dollars).
