China Cybersecurity Conference held in Hefei focuses on AI security

The first China Cybersecurity Conference (CCSC2026) was held in Hefei, Anhui, from September 18 to 20. The event brought together over 3,000 experts, including academicians, researchers, and industry representatives, to discuss frontier theories, key technologies, and industrial applications in the era of artificial intelligence.

During the conference, the “Cybersecurity Talent Practical Ability Report — AI Empowerment Edition” was officially released. Guided by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and the Ministry of Education, the report was co-edited by Beihang University, the University of Science and Technology of China, and Yongxin Zhicheng Technology Group. The report highlights that the rapid integration of large models into core business processes—such as R&D and production—has introduced new risks, including model data leaks, prompt injections, and AI-automated cyberattacks.

Findings from the report indicate that current AI security talent is characterized by short professional experience, concentrated geographic and industry distribution, and a shortage of specialized personnel. Many organizations still rely on traditional security or R&D teams to manage model security. To address this, the report suggests that future talent training and evaluation should be more closely aligned with real-world business scenarios and practical task requirements.
