China dominates global humanoid robot market with 97% share

China has established a dominant position in the global humanoid robot market, accounting for 97 percent of total shipments during the first half of 2026. According to data from California-based research firm Smart Analytics Global (SAG), global humanoid robot shipments reached approximately 19,100 units in the first six months of the year, more than tripling the 5,100 units recorded during the same period the previous year.

Shanghai-based AgiBot has emerged as the world's largest supplier, shipping approximately 8,400 units and capturing 44 percent of the global market. Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics follows with 5,900 units, representing a 31 percent market share. These figures place Chinese manufacturers significantly ahead of major U.S.-based competitors such as Tesla, Figure AI, and Agility Robotics.

Projections from SAG suggest that global shipments will rise to 60,000 units by the end of the year and could reach a volume of 500,000 units by 2030. Industrial and commercial applications currently account for over 70 percent of total shipments, signaling a shift toward mainstream robotic utility driven by China's manufacturing capacity and strategic policy support.
