China Eastern Airlines supports WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

China Eastern Airlines (CEAir) served as the national strategic partner and designated airline for the 48th WorldSkills Competition, held in Shanghai. The event concluded recently, featuring more than 1,300 competitors from 68 countries and regions competing across 64 technical skill disciplines.

To support the competition, CEAir provided comprehensive services at Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Hongqiao international airports, including check-in assistance, information services, and support for border formalities. The airline's personnel also played active roles in the event's ceremonies: 69 crew members served as greeters during the opening ceremony, and 20 volunteers from the ‘Lingyan’ team provided protocol assistance for both the opening and closing sessions.

Additionally, CEAir staff participated directly in specific skill categories, with 15 crew members acting as models for the hairdressing competition and five aircraft maintenance specialists providing technical support for the aircraft maintenance discipline. At the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Expo, the airline hosted a 300-square-meter exhibition stand to showcase aviation innovations, such as IPT flight simulators, virtual reality training for aircraft maintenance, and artificial intelligence applications for cargo security.
