China emphasizes global cooperation and undergoes military leadership shifts

During the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng called for the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. He proposed four key initiatives: preserving the post-war international order through collective security, addressing global development challenges via openness and cooperation, enhancing exchange between civilizations, and committing to multilateralism to ensure justice.

Simultaneously, internal political shifts are occurring within China's military leadership. Recent purges have seen high-ranking officials, including Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli, removed from the Communist Party and the military. Analysts suggest that while these purges may impact combat readiness, they strengthen President Xi Jinping's control over the People's Liberation Army. This consolidation of power comes as China continues to modernize its armed forces and increase its presence in the South China Sea and near Taiwan.
