China emphasizes political responsibility in party governance

The Communist Party of China is emphasizing the implementation of political responsibility and the normalization of work style construction as core components of its governance. According to recent publications in Qiushi magazine, Xi Jinping has stressed that strict party governance is impossible without clearly defined and enforced responsibility systems.

Key focus areas include establishing a comprehensive responsibility chain that links party committees, discipline inspection commissions, and individual leaders. A significant emphasis is placed on the ‘key minority,’ specifically the responsibility of top leaders to ensure accountability and prevent the dilution of political standards.

In the military sector, there is a parallel push to institutionalize work style improvements to ensure the People's Liberation Army maintains its combat effectiveness and political integrity. This involves addressing issues such as formalism and bureaucracy to ensure that military readiness and political loyalty remain central to the armed forces' mission.
