China emphasizes red legacy for youth and commemorates historic Xinhua news team

President Xi Jinping urged Chinese youth to inherit the Party’s “red gene,” linking personal ambition to national development and calling for steadfast loyalty to the Communist Party during the 105th anniversary of its founding and the upcoming May 4th Youth Day. He highlighted the importance of idealistic commitment and the opportunities presented by the 15th‑Five‑Year Plan, urging young people to contribute to China’s modernization.

In parallel, Xinhua News Agency marked the 95th anniversary of its founding by recalling the historic “Four Great Teams” that accompanied the Party’s Central Committee during the 1947‑48 revolutionary period. The teams relayed news from the front lines, translated foreign dispatches, and produced bulletins that informed both the leadership and the public, reinforcing the Party’s narrative during the civil war. The commemoration underscores the agency’s role as the Party’s voice and its continued dedication to the same principles.

Both pieces reflect the Party’s ongoing emphasis on historical continuity and ideological education, linking past revolutionary achievements with current calls for youth participation in national goals.
