China establishes strategic surveillance infrastructure in Cuba

Cuba has entered into a strategic agreement with China, trading its geographic position and radio-electronic sovereignty for resources. In the Mayabeque region, near the coast, China has established high-tech surveillance infrastructure, including large radomes and advanced antenna systems protected by 360-degree camera technology.

These facilities are reportedly powered by industrial diesel generators provided by Beijing to ensure continuous operation, even as the Cuban population faces severe electricity shortages and fuel scarcity. The technical personnel operating these sites are linked to the Strategic Support Force of the People's Liberation Army. This arrangement follows a significant decline in Venezuelan oil shipments and a collapse in Cuban sugar production, leaving the Cuban government without the foreign currency needed to purchase fuel on international markets.
