China expands diplomatic and cultural ties with Mongolia and Namibia

China is engaging in multiple diplomatic efforts to strengthen bilateral ties with Mongolia and Namibia. In Beijing, Li Ganjie, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, met with a delegation from Mongolia's Democratic Party led by Chairman Odon Tsogtgerel. The discussions focused on implementing common understandings between heads of state, deepening development strategies, and advancing a China-Mongolia community with a shared future. Tsogtgerel reaffirmed the Democratic Party's adherence to the one-China principle.

Separately, Namibia and China are working to deepen cultural cooperation through institutional partnerships, youth exchanges, and support for creative industries. Following President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's state visit to China in July, the two nations elevated their relations to a China-Namibia community with a shared future. During the China-Namibia Culture Fair in Windhoek, Chinese Ambassador Zhao Weiping noted that these exchanges are part of the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, aimed at fostering mutual understanding through culture and education.
