China government agencies to hold briefings on sports and commerce

Several Chinese government agencies have scheduled press conferences to address key domestic issues. The State Council Information Office will host a session featuring Gao Zhidan, Director of the General Administration of Sport, to discuss the construction of a strong sports nation during the ‘15th Five-Year Plan’ period. Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce will hold a briefing regarding recent key tasks in the commercial sector, and the Taiwan Affairs Office is scheduled to answer questions on recent cross-strait issues.

In the financial markets, significant activity regarding stock repurchases and the unlocking of restricted shares has been reported. On September 3, companies saw a total of 2.72 billion yuan in market value from unlocked shares, with major contributors including Tuojing Technology and Huide Technology. On September 2, 141 companies disclosed progress on stock repurchases, led by high-value buybacks from companies such as Sanhuan Group and GigaDevice.

Meanwhile, the China Meteorological Administration will provide updates on weather patterns from June to August and offer forecasts for the upcoming month.
